The Role

Working under the guidance of a Design Lead and as part of a cross‐functional team, you will contribute to the ongoing design and evolution of ABC’s Design Language System, Nova.

The Job

  • Contribute to the end‐to‐end design of design system foundations, including research support, concept development, detailed UI design, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with App and Web Framework teams, as well as Product teams, to deliver high‐quality design system outcomes.
  • Actively use, test, and evolve design tokens and system components to ensure they are accessible, future‐ready, and fit for use across multiple products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product teams, stakeholders, and Design Leads to support backlog refinement and prioritisation, ensuring design system work delivers clear audience and product value.
  • Design clear UI mockups and interactive prototypes to demonstrate the application of design tokens and Nova patterns in real product contexts.
  • Partner with colleagues to support consistent cross product and cross platform journeys through shared foundations, patterns, and tokens.

About You

  • Extensive experience in user interface and visual design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating flexible, high‐quality design across complex enterprise products, diverse content, and media.
  • Proven ability to design complex customer and audience experiences, with excellent information design, problem‐solving skills, and efficient, high‐standard production practices.
  • Strong understanding of multi‐platform design and emerging technologies, with the ability to use prototyping tools to clearly communicate design intent.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to confidently engage, inspire, and collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, including in remote environments using modern design and collaboration tools.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset aligned with ABC Values, demonstrating integrity, inclusivity, accountability, and the ability to deliver great design outcomes under tight deadlines.

The Product & Technology (P&T) division is responsible for delivering the technology and services that enable the ABC to fulfil its creative, strategic and business goals.
