About Us Shikara Indian Restaurant Mindarie is a well-established restaurant offering authentic Indian cuisine in a vibrant and welcoming environment. We are committed to delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes Assist in menu planning and development Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety Manage stock, ordering, and minimise wastage Supervise and train kitchen staff as required Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service Qualifications & Skills Relevant qualification at least equivalent to an Australian Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher; or At least 3 years of full-time relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in Indian cuisine Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and ingredients Sound understanding of food safety standards Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Additional Requirements Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team How to Apply Please submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the above criteria.
