About the role

We are hiring enthusiastic and flexible Registered Nurses for our busy medical/surgical ward at Calvary Central Districts Hospital. The ward consists of medical and surgical patients, a 4 bed Higher Observation Unit, and 5 supportive care beds.

Providing direct patient care, in collaboration with the wider healthcare team, you will participate in the delivery of exceptional nursing care to our patients.

  • Use a patient centered approach to patient assessment.
  • Maintain continuity of care for each patient.
  • Evaluate outcomes of care and initiate appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain a discharge plan for each patient from admission to discharge.
  • Uphold the principles and practices of infection prevention and control.
  • Ensuring familiarity in Emergency Procedures through annual updates.
  • Maintain annual competencies
  • Practice in accordance with Calvary policies and procedures

About you

  • Registered Nurse with the AHPRA with minimum of 2 years acute experience
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated competence in surgical and medical nursing
  • Passion for exceptional patient care
