Your Opportunity
As an Employment Services Claims Officer, you’ll join the National Employment Services Delivery Team in a short-term secondment, supporting the compliance and integrity of claims within the Transition to Work (TTW) Program. Reporting to the National Manager, Performance & Compliance, you’ll ensure claims are accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with contractual and legislative requirements.

You’ll review and validate claims data across systems, ensuring appropriate documentation is captured and maintained to meet compliance and audit standards. Your work will support accurate reporting and help identify risks, errors, or inconsistencies that may impact program performance.

Working closely with site leads, managers and Department representatives, you’ll provide guidance on evidence and compliance requirements, while contributing to audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Review and validate claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Analyse claims data and produce reports to identify risks, trends, and non-compliance
  • Provide guidance to site leads on complex claims and support compliant decision-making
  • Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate processing and timely issue resolution
  • Identify and escalate risks while maintaining audit readiness and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes, supporting training, and strengthening team capability

Requirements for Success

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn program-specific systems and claims platforms
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience reviewing, validating, and assessing claims or documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Sound understanding of compliance, privacy, and information security requirements, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing competing priorities and complex tasks
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines and maintain audit readiness
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance to site leads
