Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout Orthopaedics/Urology

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub Scout to join our high-performing team.

In this role, you will provide evidence-based, person-centred perioperative care, while contributing to a safe, collaborative and high-quality clinical environment. You will also take a leadership role in coordinating care and supporting Enrolled Nurses and junior staff.

About You

You are a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a perioperative setting and is passionate about delivering best practice care.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
• Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (Desirable)

Experience & Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, planning and evaluation skills
• Ability to supervise and support ENs, graduates and students
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred perioperative care
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
• Support and guide ENs, technicians and students
• Collaborate with Surgeons, Anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits and accreditation activities
• Promote patient and staff safety in line with Healthscope standards
• Contribute to efficient theatre operations and patient flow
