We are currently recruiting multiple driven and experienced leaders to join this enhanced function.

You will help develop and embed a proactive, intelligence-led risk management framework that enables the bank to achieve its goals safely and soundly.
As a leader in our Financial Crime Risk Department , you’ll make an impact by:
- Developing and implementing the strategic direction for financial crime risk management.
- Providing expert advice and effective challenge to the first line of accountability to uplift our overall financial crime risk management maturity.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of dedicated risk professionals.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk identification.
About the Role
The Head of Financial Crime Solutions reports to Chief Compliance & Financial Crime Officer (and MLRO).
- to protect BEN from regulatory, reputational and financial risks by identifying, overseeing, developing and maintaining robust and ever-evolving financial crime risk management solutions.
- evergreen assessment of existing and potential financial crime solutions that will enhance screening and detection systems across all Financial Crime categories.
- identifying and interpreting all relevant financial crime obligations, including legislation, regulatory expectations as well as international and domestic best practices
- drive the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of the Bank's operational frameworks
- leveraging technology, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance transaction monitoring
- advanced writing and reporting skills to produce an auditable document framework
- Lead, mentor, and empower a specialized team of financial crime solutions experts, guiding their work in data analytics, AI, transaction monitoring, and technology systems to detect, deter, and disrupt financial crime.
What you’ll bring to the role
Essential
- Extensive financial crime experience in the banking industry with diverse and deep knowledge of a bank’s financial crime environment.
- Advanced and proven expertise in design, implementation and maintenance of financial crime solutions, including data, analytics, AI, transaction monitoring, technology and systems oversight.
- AI, Data Science and Rules based modelling
- Experience with known/commonly used Financial Crime Risk System e.g. NetReveal, RSA etc
- Highly effective engagement and leadership skills with ability to aggressively lead and drive change at all levels.
- Ability to evidence contemporary and future practice for financial crime risk management.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field are essential.
Highly desirable
- Post-graduate studies in Data &/or Risk
- Professional qualifications are highly desirable e.g. ACAMS, CFA, AFCS
Location: Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide, Sydney, or Brisbane with flexible hybrid options.
