Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Accountant to support our Retail Finance team.
This is a part-time role (3 days per week or equivalent), offering flexibility while still providing exposure to a broad range of accounting activities. It is ideal for someone seeking a reduced working schedule, while still working in a commercially meaningful and professionally rewarding role.
You will be involved in a range of accounting activities including reporting, reconciliations, and financial control, while also supporting operational stakeholders across a diverse and multi-site business. Flexibility is supported, and we encourage open discussion around how the role can best work for you.
What You will do:
- Deliver month-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain balance sheet integrity and proactively manage reconciliation issues
- Support financial reporting, including BAS, FBT, audit, and statutory requirements
- Perform bank and transaction reconciliations, including online payments and merchant platforms
- Provide financial support to stores and franchise network, including query resolution
- Assist with financial control activities and identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Support process improvements, system enhancements, and finance projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or finance analysis
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
