About the role
We’re looking for a Safety & Injury Management Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a Part-Time, Max Term Contract, supporting the delivery of safe, healthy and compliant workplaces across BOQ Group. This is a hands-on, operational role where you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees to provide practical advice across workplace health and safety (WHS) and injury management.
Day-to-day, you’ll be the go-to for WHS guidance—triaging incidents and hazards, supporting investigations, and helping teams embed safe systems of work. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving WHS processes, contributing to reporting and insights, and supporting audits and assurance activities.
You’ll also take ownership of injury management and workers compensation coordination, guiding stakeholders through the full claims lifecycle and supporting early intervention and successful return-to-work outcomes. It’s a role where your ability to balance compliance, care and commercial thinking will make a real impact.
About you
You bring experience in a WHS and injury management advisory role, ideally within a medium to large organisation, and are confident navigating Australian WHS legislation and workers compensation frameworks.
You enjoy building strong relationships and working alongside leaders to influence safe behaviours and outcomes. Your approach is practical, solutions-focused and grounded in sound judgement—especially when managing sensitive or complex cases.
You’re highly organised with strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to case management and maintaining accurate records. Comfortable working across systems and reporting tools, you’re equally confident analysing trends as you are providing day-to-day support and advice.
Most importantly, you’re passionate about creating safe, supportive workplaces and helping people stay well at work or return safely when they need it.
