The Role
The ABC in Toowoomba is looking for a capable reporter for a short term contract to create compelling content across all platforms for the local audience. You are creative, super organised, able to weave a good yarn and you'll love coming to work and connecting with our audience in regional Queensland.
The Job
- Produce news bulletins and present, Q&As, interviews, and packages across all platforms, including breaking news.
- Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan.
Position Description:
About You
You'll have:
- Experience to start working and be up to speed quickly in the role.
- A creative approach to news content construction and delivery, and accomplished experience in live presentation and broadcast.
- Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience.
