The role
Crown Sydney has a 12-month maximum term contract opportunity available for an experienced Senior Health, Safety and Injury Management Advisor to join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team. Based on-site, you’ll support a diverse workforce of team members, promoting proactive injury management approaches, with a key focus on early injury recovery and sustainable return to work.
Working closely with front and back of house operational teams and support staff across the Hotels, Gaming, F&B, Warehouse and Property Services departments, you’ll assist injured employees and their managers following workplace injuries and play an active part in developing strategies to progress injured employees to positive return to work outcomes and/or claims resolution.
We're looking for a RTW Coordinator, a Claims Specialist or an Injury Management Advisor that's genuinely passionate about making a positive difference to employee health, wellbeing and recovery. If you have strong initiative, pro-activeness and take a diligent approach to work and the team members you support - this role might just be your calling.
You'll be:
- Following up on injuries, reviewing incidents and overseeing the first aid register
- Managing and assessing a portfolio of workers’ compensation claims in line with legislation and best practice injury management strategies
- Coordinating meetings with injured employee and Workcover teams (where appropriate) to prompt determination of liability, and timely access to medical assessment/treatment
- Engaging with team members and business units to identify and coordinate appropriate suitable duties
- Providing injury management technical advice to leaders and support functions such as People & Culture
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge of injury management system and process, best practice injury management & legislation
- Working with department leaders and the broader HSW team to embed RTW practices into team culture and reduce impacts of workplace injury through training and education
You’ll bring:
- 3+ years experience within the Injury Management/Workers Compensation/Rehabilitation Case Management industry
- Demonstrated experience with RTW programs, policies and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislative framework
- SIRA Return to Work qualifications and relevant experience
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast paced, customer-facing environment
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
