We’re currently looking for a motivated and personable Intermediate Accountant to join our team in our modern office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and develop their technical and client-facing skills within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for a broad range of clients
- Prepare BAS, IAS, and management reports using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero & QuickBooks)
- Support senior team members on client engagements and advisory work
- Assist clients with general accounting and tax compliance queries
- Contribute to tax planning and business advisory engagements
- Maintain accurate and well-organised working papers
- Provide support to the wider team and assist with ad hoc tasks as required
About You
- Degree-qualified in accounting (or near completion)
- 1–3 years’ experience in public practice
- Started CA or CPA, or currently working towards completion
- Foundational understanding of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with solid organisational skills
- A quick learner with the ability to pick up new systems and concepts rapidly
- Intermediate technical skills with a desire to continue developing
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with clients
- Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in growing your career
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
