About This Opportunity

This is a call for applicants for Casual academics in the School of Political Science and International Studies in support of our course offerings in Semester 2 2026.

Casual academics will typically be engaged in a range of duties, including (but not limited to) tutoring; marking; teaching and moderating/facilitating. Casual academics are remunerated according to the category of their duties, as detailed in UQ’s Enterprise Agreement.

Please click here**for a list of POLS courses, plus one PPES course which are likely to need tutors. Please indicate a maximum of six courses you are interested in teaching into. Although you will be asked to state why you have picked a course your response is optional.

NB: Tutoring opportunities are reliant on course enrolment numbers and some courses at postgraduate level may not attract sufficient enrolments to require a tutor.
