Details: Digital Canberra is looking for a Power Platform Specialist to design, build, and improve solutions that help ACT Government teams work smarter. In this role, you will undertake system administration and lead development across Microsoft Power Platform and contribute practical advice on introducing new solutions into ACT Government environments.

You’ll join a small, collaborative team and work closely with other technical specialists, vendors, and ACT Government directorates. A core focus off the role will be lifting the service’s technical capability and supporting day‑to‑day operations. The role also includes the lifecycle management of Copilot agents—covering governance, compliance, security standards, and the design of new agents that streamline business processes and enhance productivity to ensure responsible AI that aligns with organisational policies. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels across Digital Canberra and support the objectives of the Technology Services Branch, championing hybrid service delivery and design thinking.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

Compliance requirements/qualifications:

  • The position requires the successful applicant to hold a current ACT Government Baseline security clearance (AGSVA Baseline equivalent) or the ability to obtain one.
  • This role requires a pre-employment National Police Check
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant STEM field such as Software Engineering or relevant ‘Microsoft Certified’ Power Platform certifications and training would be highly advantageous.
  • Possessing an Infrastructure Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundation Certificate or strong knowledge of ITIL would be advantageous.
  • Ability to program in various programming languages, including JavaScript (React, Angular), C# and HTML CSS would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Copilot agent governance and lifecycle management, including implementing compliance and security standards, as well as designing and developing agents to support business processes and enhance user productivity would be advantageous

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Under activity-based work arrangements, officers may not have a designated workstation/desk. Working from home part time may form part of the flexible work arrangements for this position.
