Piano Teachers

Perth Music Academy is a fast-growing, premium music academy located in Willetton and has been providing quality private music lessons in Perth.

We are looking for more piano teachers to join our amazing teaching team.

We provide a pleasant teaching environment, resources and great supports to teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To teach one-on-one private piano lessons to students age 4.5 and above.
• Be able to teach students up to AMEB grade 8 piano and up to grade 4 theory.
• To prepare students for performances, competitions, auditions, as well as AMEB music examinations (practical and theory).
• To brings creativity & fun element into lessons.
• To communicate and relates well to students, parents and fellow teachers.
• Be available to teach weekdays from 3:00-7:30pm; Saturday from 8:00am-3:00pm (you choose the days that suit you).

CRITERIA FOR A SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION:

• Has a Tertiary qualification in Piano study or working toward completion of a piano performance/pedagogy degree.
• Or has achieved a Diploma level in Piano from internationally recognised music examination boards.
• Has a sound knowledge of modern piano methods, technique, repertoire, teaching strategies, music theory and general knowledge.
• Being familiar with AMEB system, both practical and theory.
• Communicate well with parents and young students.
• Has reliable transportation and in good health.
• Must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident resides in Perth area; must obtain Working With Children Card.
