Mainstay Underwriting is an Australian owned and managed company who are looking for a Finance / Operations Officer. There is no requirement to have a broking or underwriting background in the general insurance industry, we will train you. We work with international insurance companies and provide insurance solutions to a variety of Australian brokers.
We are not a recruiter, we are hiring direct for immediate start date. We deal with Australian and International companies, whilst providing insurance solutions in Australia from domestic to large business. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work and learn with great people and develop professionally in a supportive environment. We are a professional and mature organisation, but we have a family culture. For the right person this role will grow into a management role as we expand interstate, develop new business lines and new products.
Our team is based in Bundall, Gold Coast and Brisbane , this is a permanent role liaising with brokers and clients across Australia.
This role is for an immediate start, however we can work with your timeframes.

Finance
- Receipting into our policy admin system
- Underwriter payments
- Broker / Client payments
- General business invoice payments
- Setting up a finance calendar for the year for both companies
- Reports needed by the different state tax departments
- Reports needed for Lloyd’s of London
- Coding our accounts in MYOB
Operations
- Managing processes for the different arms of the company
- Managing registers for the business
